Holy Lord this book! Down to You by Jayne Frost has all the feels. It was impossible, for me, to put it down. It consumed me in a slow burning way. This book has it all: great plot, lots of emotional pain, steamy passion, love, friendship, lots of unexpected revelations, twists and turns and more passion. It ripped my soul and made my heart ache. I was immersed in its bittersweet beauty, its silken thrill and captivating storytelling. Jayne penned a fierce and strong masterpiece.
The first word that comes to my mind to describe this book is: perfection. This rock star romance is nothing like any other. Down to You is soft & sinful excellence! The pacing is fast. The level of drama and feelings are highly tempting for a soft heart reader like me. This book made bloom something inside me: a deep feeling that had me shedding tears while reading some chapters because the story is very compelling and the characters feel so human and real. I felt their pain as my own.
Logan and Tori's story left a deep mark in my heart & soul. A broken heroine plus a rock star hero is a powerful combination and what a strong pair Logan and Tori were! At the beginning their relationship was not easy. It was a bumpy road although the attraction between them was explosive and hot.
But what make them special? Tori is a broken princess and Logan is the tough knight who will fix her. Both have scars. Tori has physical scars in her body and her pain reminds her of what she lost. Logan has emotional scars and he fights his own demons every day. A fight & an agreement put them together. Touring will awake hidden fears and it will reveal secrets. Music runs through their veins; however for Tori it will be the end of the road because moving on is just life happening. Logan will light the darkness that threatens to eat her whole.
Logan is just the sexy type of book boyfriend all female readers desire. He is rough and sweet, loyal and ambitious. He is the hottest rock star and a playboy until a broken girl tamed him. He tough he wasn't worthy of love until Tori stormed into his life. It is sweet watching him fall for Tori. It was unexpected and worthy. I wonder where my own Logan is!
My heart broke for Tori but at the same time I was happy for her because she was a survivor and a fighter. She is at the top of my favourite heroines. Her scars not only marked her skin, they made her strong. They are proof of the pain and lost. They don't make her weak and to Logan's eyes she is beautiful.
This book stole my sleep, my sanity and my heart. Down to You is an unexpected journey of discovery, life, music, grieve and love. It is a force of nature and it draws readers like honey draws bees. It got under my skin and it deserves more like five stars. It is a must read and I highly recommend you this book. Honestly this book is the best in the Sixth Street Band Series!
